Naturally the Florida Royal Palm is native to the cypress wetlands, mangrove swamps, sloughs, tropical hardwood hammocks and coastal prairies of Florida region. The Roystonea Elata is the classic tree of Florida. The Florida Royal Palm  is native to the Everglades.

Near the majestic trees you can always spot wildlife. Florida Royal Palm Trees provide shelter for birds and wildlife. If you are close to the Everglades where wildlife is present you can see very interesting birds near the beatiful trees. You can find the everglade mink, american alligator, florida black bear, florida white-tailed dear, bobcat and florida panther near the palms.

Mostly, striking species can be found in towns through the Sunshine State. Magnificent trees are widely used in the Florida region for street decoration. They look amazing when planted with a lot of space available. You can see them lining the streets and avenues. They look great when planted in the front entrances of large homes and condominiums.

If you want to see these trees grown naturaly, go to Everglades National Park or Colier-Seminole State Park. Rare everywhere else, these species are common there. They are icons of Florida!
